Description
Genus Description - Plants robust, scattered to densely tufted, glossy, golden- to yellow-green. Secondary stems erect, closely pinnate and frondose above a stipitate base. Leaves crowded, oblong to lanceolate, generally plicate; costa single, extending to the upper part ofthe leaf; upper cells linear, smooth or nearly so; basal cells rectangular, the alar cells not forming a distinct group. Setae short; capsules immersed, ovoid; peristome double. Spores spherical. Calyptrae mitrate.
