Description:Genus Description - Robust, loosely tufted, glossy, yellow-green plants. Secondary stems erect or ± pendent, irregularly pinnate. Leaves concave, oblong-ovate, acute; costa weak, short and double or occasionally single; upper cells smooth, linear-sinuolate, with walls thick and pitted; basal and alar cells subquadrate to short-rectangular, with thick, yellow-brown, pitted walls. Setae very short; capsules immersed, broadly ellipsoidal; peristome double. Calyptrae mitrate, naked.
