Description:Species Description - Herbs, to 2 m tall. Leaves: petiole greenish white, speckled with brown; blade deep green, with white midrib. Inflorescences with obliquely oriented bracts, these in one plane, congested, closed, orange below, red above, the rachis often hidden by bracts. Flowers: perianth orange with white tips; ovary orange. Mature fruits blue.

Distribution and Ecology - Fl (Jan); growing in small clumps. Balisier.
