Description:Species Description - Herbs, 20-40 cm tall, sometimes with basal runners. Leaves linear, 15-50 X 2-2.5 cm, acute. Inflorescences thyrses, 6-7 X 4-7 cm, the branches of inflorescence 5-25-flowered, densely to sparsely hairy, the pedicels 1-7 mm long. Flowers tepals yellow, narrowly ovate-elliptic, 5-7 mm long, abaxial side densely to sparsely hairy. Capsules orange to dark purple, 3-lobate in transverse section, 3 X 4-5 mm. Seeds orange to brown.
