    Species Description - Plants epiphytic. Rhizomes creeping, <1 mm diam., covered with brown hairs and round, blackish scales. Fronds slightly dimorphic, clumped or widely spaced; petiole nearly absent to 2 cm long, black with green margin; blade linear or oblanceolate, 7.5-20 X 0.7-1.8 cm; midrib green on adaxial surface, black on abaxial surface, with stellate scales; veins reticulate, some areoles enclosing free veinlets. Sori oblong or linear, 2-10 X 1-2 mm.
