Description:Species Description - Fronds pinnate, with terminal pinna different from lateral pinnae; petiole usually 10-16 cm long, reddish-brown, shining; blade lanceolate, 10-20 X 4-7.5 cm, with 3-15 pairs of alternate pinnules, the basal ones subopposite; pinnules subtrapeziform, the basal ones often deflexed, the largest 21-45 X 11-20 mm; terminal pinnule large, very asymmetric. Sori continuous. Very common, in understory of forests on hillsides and ridges.
