Description:Genus Description - Plants small, caespitose. Leaves concave above, lanceolate to ovate from abroad, sheathing base; margins erect denticulate; costa percurrent or nearly so; upper cells quadrate to short-rectangular. Dioicous. Perichaetial leaves longer than stem leaves, strongly sheathing at base. Setae terminal, elongate; capsules inchned to nodding, short-cylindric to elhpsoidal; operculum very long-rostrate; peristome inserted at the mouth on a short membrane, erect, divided nearly to the base into 32 long, slender, spiculose to spiral-ridged divisions. Calyptrae cucullate.
