    Distribution and Ecology - General Distribution. Hispaniola, Puerto Rico, Grenada, Trinidad, and Venezuela.Distribution in Puerto Rico. Confined to the northwestem quarter ofthe island; recorded from Adjuntas, Arecibo, Ciales, Hatillo, Isabela, Lares, Quebradillas, and Utuado.Habitat. Moist shaded ravines, limestone sinkholes, and sometimes beside waterfalls, at lower middle elevations (200-345 m), locally frequent.
