Description
Species Description - Stems very slender, 0.5–5 dm, floating or prostrate and repent, mat- forming and scarcely arising above the substrate, bearing at many nodes small fascicles of short capillary lvs; infl 1–4 dm, simple or nearly so, usually with fls at only 1 or 2 nodes, often many of them replaced by subulate bulbils; tep 2.2–2.8 mm; pet 2.5–4.4 mm; anthers 6, usually shorter than the filaments; fr 3–5 mm; otherwise much like no. 35 [Juncus pelocarpus E. Mey]. Muddy shores; Nf. to Me. and w. Que.; Greenl.
