The typical variety of this species does not
occur in Puerto Rico. The Puerto Rican varieties
can usually be distinguished as follows:
a. Free lobes absent from the rhachis, costae, and
costules; midvein on lower surface ofthe ultimate
segments usually glabrous. ..
