Description:Species Description - Rhizome small, oblique or erect, densely clothed toward apex with stiff, yellowish-brown hairs. Fronds fasciculate, ascending, mostly 3-12 cm long, clothed throughout on vascular parts and margins with lax, yellowish hairs, these forked or stellate from a 1 -celled, swollen, glandular base; stipes 1-7 cm long, gradually becoming winged distally. Blades lance-oblong, elliptic, or ovate, 2-10 cm long, 1-5 c m broad, often somewhat inegular in outline, deeply pinnatifid with lobed segments, or else 2-pinnatifid to pinnate-pinnatifid; rhachis winged (wings 0.5-1 mm wide on either side); primary segments or pinnae oblique, lance-acuminate or -attenuate to ovate-acuminate, deeply lobed or pinnatifid; veins pinnately branched; tissue light green, delicately membranous and translucent, glabrous except on margins. Sori solitary on secondary lobes or segments; involucres immersed, mostly 1.5-1.8 mm long, urceolate with abmptly flaring, undulate mouth.
