Description:Species Description - Rhizome 2.5-4 mm thick, dark purple-brown to blackish, nearly naked, the very few, widely scattered, appressed, dark brown scales lancedeltate, ca. 1.5 mm long, with denticulate-ciliate margins. Primary frond axis 3-4 mm thick, light or medium brown, naked. Primary lateral branches one to several pairs, each branch 1 - to 2-forked, not developing a secondary axis. Ultimate pinnae 25-35 cm long, 3-5 cm broad, long-acuminate at apex; segments numerous, linear from a dilatate base, minutely but densely woolly beneath with pale tomentum, lacking scales except those described in key; veins mostly once-forked at base; margins narrowly revolute.
