  Plants bushy, probably spreading; leaflets as Lotus wrightii but broader and pubescent; umbels pedunculate, 2-3 flowered; legume narrower than that of L. mearnsii. “Hutchinson s.n. Globe, Arizona, April 1930” is so annotated by Ottley. I agree on a speculative basis.
