Discussion
Syrmatium traskiae Eastw. ex Noddin (1917); L. scoparius var traskiae (Eastw. ex Noddin) Ottley (1923); L. scoparius subsp traskiae (Eastw. ex Noddin) Raven (1963); L. dendroideus var traskiae (Eastw. ex Noddin) Isely (1978). Neither Munz (1959) nor Abrams (1944) distinguished the San Clemente form from Lotus scoparius var dendroideus. But the ovules are more numerous, the calyx lobes better developed, and the pods distinctive. I concur with Raven (1963) in recognizing it.
