Description:Genus Description - Annual herb. Leaves odd-pinnate, the lowermost 1-2 foliolate; stipels none. Stipules present on lower leaves, adnate to petiole, obsolete above. Flowers few in axillary umbels more or less immediately subtended by a 1-2-foliolate bract; floral bracts tiny, deciduous; bracteoles none. Calyx lobes exceeding tube, subequal. Petals free from androecium. Stamens diadelphous, the filaments somewhat dilated apically; anthers uniform. Pistil sessile; ovules 2; style incurved; stigma terminal. Legume reniform-circular, flat, with a broad membranous wing, indehiscent. Seeds 1-2, estrophiolate.

Discussion:Mediterranean region, monotypic. The single species introduced, x = 8 (Senn, 1938).
