Description:Genus Description - Trees. Leaves 1 even-pinnate, eglandular. Leaflets few pairs, ovate. Stipules semipersistent, erect, conspicuous. Inflorescences from leafless old wood. Flowers in condensed, congested racemes, appearing fascicled, crimson. Hypan-thium short; sepals 4, separate, subequal, imbricate; petals 3; stamens 10, monadelphous below, the sheath dorsally cleft; anthers unequal. Pistil stipitate. Legume indehiscent, oblong-falcate, flat, winged along upper suture, 1-2 seeded.
