Description:Subspecies Description - Indumentum ± dense. Leaf blade narrowly elliptic, narrowly obovate, or oblanceolate, 8.5-16 x 2.3-5.2 cm. Corolla tube glandular-pilose within. Fruit 8-8.5 x 3-3.5 cm.

Distribution and Ecology - S Mexico, C and N Guatemala, Belize, and WC Honduras (Fig. 49) from near sea level to 1100 m. Flowering Feb-Jul (one record Sep); fruiting Jun-Sep.
