Description:Distribution and Ecology - On sandstone, in cerrado, probably near 800 m, known only from the type locality at the headwaters of Rio Araguaia, near 15° 30' S, e.-centr. Mato Grosso. — Fl. VI—VIII. BRAZIL. Mato Grosso: edge of sheer sandstone cliffs, Serra Azul, ±7 km w. of the Barra do Garças-Xavantina road, 77 km from Barra do Garzas, 16.VI.1966 (fl), D. R. Hunt 6019.
