Variety Description - Relatively large leaves and much larger, long-pedicelled flowers, as noted in key above, distinguish this, perhaps specifically distinct plant.—Collections: 1. [Key: "Larger lfts ±4 x 1.7 cm; peduncles 8-10 cm; pedicels 18-20 mm; sepals 10-11 mm; petals ±15-16 mm: Hidalgo."]
Distribution and Ecology - Along stream-beds in low thorn-scrub, ±1350 m, known only from the type- locality in n.-e. Hidalgo.—Fl. V-VII(-?).
