Type. Grand in Hortus Museum Paris s n (holotype P? n v), Santos, São Paulo, Brazil. The type doubtfully preserved but the species well typified by the original description and illustration.

Description
Description - Leaves marked with large irregular dark green or purple transverse bands. Primary and floral bracts greenish yellow with a few marginal green spots. Floral bracts 20-25 mm long. Sepals 25 mm long; petals 35 mm long.

Distribution
Epiphytic in rainforest, from near sea level to over 800 m alt, Espírito Santo to Parana in eastern Brazil.
