Description
Description - A var carnosa spicarum basibus sterilibus multo brevioribus, bracteis florigeris minoribus differt. Leaf-blades glabrescent above with age. Branches to 80 cm long, the basal with 4-5 pendent spikes, the sterile base only a little longer than the primary bracts; spikes oblong, 12-15 cm long, 4 cm wide, densely 25-flowered. Floral bracts 30 mm long, remaining imbricate after anthesis. Sepals 25 mm long.
