Description:Variety Description - Leaves adaxially densely white-sericeous. Inflorescence branches sericeous. Connectives of stamens opposite the antero-lateral sepals globose, projecting 0.20.6 mm beyond the locules. Anterior style 3.4-4.0 mm long, posterior styles 4.0-5.0 mm long. Chromosome number, n = 10. Voucher, Anderson 11789.

Discussion:Collected in flower in March, April and May, and in fruit in April, May, June and December.

This variety is distinguished from B. membranifolia by its densely white-sericeous leaves, the hairs with arms 0.4-1.0 mm long, larger flowers, with the fifth petal apically constricted, and the 2 posterior styles longer than the anterior one; it is distinguished from B. muricata by its caducous bracteoles, its longer, thicker, sessile pedicels, stamens with the connectives opposite the antero-lateral sepals not greatly enlarged, thicker styles, and fruit with broad lateral winglets.
