Description:Variety Description - Differs from C. linearis subsp. linearis var. linearis primarily in the densely canescent whitish-gray woolly stems with appressed or crisped trichomes. In addition the leaves are thinner with less prominent venation, the inflorescence is more strongly villous-tomentose, the calyces more sparsely pilose and thicker, and the corollas larger and more strongly colored.
