Species Description - Similar to no. 12 [Aster lanceolatus Willd.], and passing into it; lvs usually entire; invol avg larger, to 7.5 mm, its bracts seldom much imbricate, avg broader; rays blue or white; lobes of the disk-cors comprising 19–36% of the limb; 2n=48, 64. Moist low places; Wis. and Mo. to Alta. and s. Calif.
