Description
Solitary. Pileus 4.5 cm broad, convex, red overall with fine erect pyramidal scales. With triangular appendiculate flaps on margin. Flesh pale yellow, bluing then appearing white. Tubes adnexed, yellow, bluing. Stipe 6 cm x 9 mm, equal with an expanded base, pink at apex, whitish below, appresssed fibrillose striate, with interior solid, white, hard textured, with white mycelium at base. Spores are ribbed with cross-striae.
