  • Description

    Pileus 4.3 cm broad, dry, red, matted subtomentose. Flesh light yellow, unchanging, with mild odor and taste. Tubes adnexed, yellow, unchanging; pores with a slight reddish tint, unchanging. Stipe 9 cm long, 8 mm broad, subclavate, dry, yellow at apex, pale red to pink below, conspicuously reticulate 3/4 length of stipe, with white basal mycelium; interior solid, yellow, unchanging. NH4: pale violet then yellow on pileus and stipe, blue green on exposed flesh.
