Habitat
Mostly on hill tops of white soil and rock outcrops. Sparse vegetation of Chrysothamnus parryi, Enceliopsis nudicaulis, Cordylanthus kingii, Artemisia nova, Hymenopappus filifolius, Erigeron howellianum, Frasera gypsicola, Phlox tumulosa, Lepidium nanum, and Atriplex confertifolia. Locally common.
