Yaduo Cun, in the vicinity of Yaping Yakou just E of the pass near the Myanmar border, E side of Gaoligong Shan. Elev. 3660 m 27° 12’ 50" N, 98° 41’ 46" E SE facing 30-60° slope. Thicket. Undisturbed. Bamboo-Rhododendron thickets with wet meadows in open areas. Perennial herb 30-40 cm tall. Flowers purplish red. Common. Growing among Rhododendron shrubs in sun. In loam on granite.
