  • Description

    Solitary. Pileus 2-6 cm broad, convex, aging to plano-concave; margin even, in age weekly striate to 5 mm from the edge inward; cuticle viscid when wet, soon dry, dull, glabrous, in age marginal area minutely subareolate to subfarinose, separable 1/2 to 3/4 the radius, disc area 17 very dark Red, M&P 55L9 to 44 dark reddish Brown, M&P 56L9, paling marginally to 13 deep Red, M&P 4L6 or 16 dark Red, M&P 6K6; trama thin, to 2 mm at mid-radius, brittle, yellowish white, unchanging when cut, taste mild, odor nil. Lamellae 4-8 mm broad at mid-radius, rounded in front, adnexed to adnate, close, equal but with an occasional long lamellula or a fork fairly close to the stipe, edges smooth to slightly fimbriate, moderately brittle, creamy white, non staining when injured. Stipe 3-7 cm long, 4-10 mm wide, enlarging slightly towards the base, glabrous, longitudinally rygulose, always oink areas, often completely 4 light Pink, M&P 1D1 with one side darkened to 2 strong Pink, M&P 2G3 or approaching 6 dark Pin. Phenology of specimen: Basidiomata.
