, SELVA ALTA PERENNIFOLIA. Forest on rim and steep
| rocky and ashy slopes around Laguna Encantada, a lake-
filled volcanic crater, with many species from drier
! habitats such as Bursera simaruba because of soil
i conditions.
Small tree, 5 m. tall, 15 cm. in diameter; sap clear,
slightly sticky, odorless. Female flowers terminal
on twigs, green, or often the stigmas purple, odorless,
i Male flowers fascicled, green,, odorless.
