On plateau in partial shade to full sun along roadside. In well-drained stony soil of calcrete/dolerite sand. Succulent Karoo. Common where found.

Description
Perennial low growing succulent, in multi-leaved clusters up to 120 mm across. Roots large, tuberous, 100 mm deep. Simple leaves glabrous, grey to light green, 20-30x5-10 mm, growing in rosettes. Flowers canary-yellow with red stripe down middle of pet.
