APIACEAE Cryptotaenia canadensis (L.) DC.
Erect herb, not noticeably aromatic, the stem somewhat
watery.
Common in places near bottom of grazed NE-facing slope,
forested, under Betula papyrifera, Ostrya virginiana,
Tilia americana, edge of open pasture, with Thalictrum
dioicum, Goodyera pubescens, Aralia racemosa, Caulo-
phyllum thalictroides, Ranunculus recurvatus, Qsmorhiza
longistylis, Sanicula gregaria.
WISCONSIN: Richland Co., 6 miles S of Richland Center.
