Aureolaria virginica (L.) Pennell
On lip of 5-ft.-high bank of stream flowing west
into the Savannah River; alluvial forest. Site
#5 (Lat. 34°02'55"; Long. 82°36,39"), about 2.5
miles south of the S. C. 72 bridge over the
Savannah. Below the 475-ft. contour (full pool
for proposed Russell Lake; impoundment of the
Savannah River scheduled for the mid-1980's).
