Shrubs, 2 m. tall, this specimen 2.1 cm. in diameter,
becoming slightly larger, then senescent and replaced by
new stems, always in marshy areas and in loose clumps of
several stems (in contrast to patch-forming no. 62971, C.
racemosa, at edge of causeway and not in marshy areas).
Voucher for wood specimens in Kw, Lw, MADw.
Inflorescence erect; flowers perhaps with slight musty
fragrance (5:30 P.M., sunny).
