Nee, 2016 WISCONSIN, Sauk Co., 2.2 km SSE of center of Spring Green, Wisconsin River floodplain along “Old River Road” 43°09’27”N, 90°03’51”W. alt. 215 m. T 8 N; R 4 E; NWViNEtf sect. 19. Shrubs, 2 m. tall, this specimen 2.1 cm. in diameter, becoming slightly larger, then senescent and replaced by new stems, always in marshy areas and in loose clumps of several stems (in contrast to patch-forming no. 62971, C. racemosa, at edge of causeway and not in marshy areas). Voucher for wood specimens in Kw, Lw, MADw. Inflorescence erect; flowers perhaps with slight musty fragrance (5:30 P.M., sunny). Coll.: M.
