forest grading to submerged swamp to burned savanna to wet savanna and
semi-scrub. Shrub to 2m growing in a scrub savanna. Leaves coriaceous.
Inflorescence/infructescence axillary raceme, whorled around stem.
Rachis reddish-yellow. Calyx green, corolla white. Capsule
green/yellow/reddish. Silica sample.
