Savanna. Dimorphandra, Rubiaceae, Melastomataceae abundant,
Rapataceae, bromeliads, Poaceae, Cyperaceae. Small shrub to 1.5m.
Leaves coriaceous, clustered at branch tips. Inflorescence whorls of
racemes. Corolla white. Young fruit yellow brown. Petioles reddish.
