The Ethnobotany of Vanuatu Gregory M. Plunkett #2869 N.V. Nukuk [Neuai] stem The rhizome is used to prepare a tonic con- sumed by males after intercourse with menstru- ating female. Large diameter rhizome, 2 cm. in length, is split and scraped into a green Nukura leaf (unspecified). Add some water (as long as medicine retains color) and drink.
