scattered ornamental trees, Southern Blvd., between
entrances to New York Botanical Garden and Fordham
University.
Small tree, the same one collected in flower in spring under
no. 52620. Evidently self-compatible as there are no others in
the vicinity and abundant fruits have been formed. Fruit
yellow-green, with light reddish tinge on the insolated side.
The fruits turned bright red by the end of October, fm'4-
