    Plants perennial from heavy sub-rhizomatous root-stocks, to 0.75 m high. Lvs deep green under pubescence above; pale pubescent below. Bracts yellowish-green t9pped with reddish-brown. Ray fls bright yellow; disc fls deep yellow (or pale orange). Phenology of specimen: Flower.
