ENE of Manheim, and 4.75 airmiles NW of Giddings city cepter. Roadside in
hard, dry compacted soil. Associates include Gianduiaria pUmila, Tragia sp.,
Valerianella sp., Oenothera speciosa, Geranium carolinianum.
Flowers deep magenta, with white in interior and on exterior margin. Stigmatic
lobes feathery. Thick rhizome.
