FORT BEND CO.: occasional in young, mostly deciduous
forest in former pecan bottom pasture on level topography
underlain by Beaumont Formation, on soils mapped as
moderately well drained, moderately alkaline clay (Brazoria
Series, Chromic Hapluderts), along trail on W side of White
Lake, ca. 0.2 airmiles WNW of center of parking lot at
Cullinan Park, at N29°38’12.2”, W095°39’49.0”. Elev. ca.
70 ft. NC part of Cullinan Park in Sugar Land.
Vegetation of a few very large pecans surrounded by thousands of young
hardwood saplings. Associates included Allium canadense, Ambrosia
trífida, Carex 34746, Elephantopus carolinianus, Ilex vomitoria, Lonicera
japónica, Maclura pomífera, Oplismenus setarius, Parthenocissus
quinquefolia, Passiflora lútea, Sambucus canadensis, Sanícula canadensis,
Smilax bona-nox, Toxicodendron radicans, Ulmus crassifolia, Verbesina
virginica, Viola sp.
