Shrub with yellow flowers. Leaves are succulent, and have a
citrus like aroma when crushed.
^ocation/Habitat Port Howe, found near an inland salt pond along an overgrown trail that
runs south of the long unpaved road to Greenwood Beach Resort. Scrubby
open canopy area.

Boiled with other plants and given to postpartum mothers to help with the
pain of childbirth and also to help expel the after birth, "clots and
bruises." Not previously listed as occurring on Cat Island (Correll &
Correll, 1982).
