Chamaecyparis swamp with dry sandhills above,
disturbed. Peaty acid sand; near lake margin. Flowers
rose-pink, sweetly fragrant; leaf underside glaucous.
Occasional to locally common shrub 1-1.5 m tall,
swamp.
