Spreading shrubs, to 1*5 m. high. Lvs pale green,
subnitid above; very pale, dull below. Pedicel
and hypanthium deep crimson; hypanthium notably
ridged. Corolla bright crimson; lobes spreading
at anthesis, their interior and margins nigres-
cent. Stamens isomorphic, filaments pink, anthers
brown•
