Chionanthus virginicus L.
Small trees scattered throughout the understory on
steep, north-facing, hardwood slope; overlooking
mouth of stream flowing into the Savannah River.
Site #8 (Lat. 34°01f47M; Long. 82°35f15n), about
1/4 mile north of County Road 269 and dam construc-
tion site on the Savannah. Below the 475-ft. con-
tour (full pool for proposed Russell Lake).
