Acerplatanoides L.
NEW YORK, SUFFOLK CO.: Huntington Station, in the Paumonek
Wetland, west of Walt Whitman High School. At the edge of the woods,
in a partial clearing next to the playing fields. Large sized canopy tree
approx. 12 m tall. Flowers bright lime-yellow green. Growing in an
Oak-Hickory Mesic Woodland with Quercus rubra, Alliaria petiolata,
Eurybia divaricata, and Solidago.
