Habitat
Growing in a (now dry) periodically inundated mud flat of the recharge basin. With (young) Acer rubrum, Iris pseudoacorus, Liquidambar styraciflua, Acer saccharinum, and Salix fragilis.

Description
Large multistemmed tree (6 stems) to 25 ft. Older bark orange-brown and scabby; younger bark creamy and peeling in small sheets. In fruit. Population of 20 individuals. Phenology of specimen: Fruit.
