Habitat
Boggy site. With Quercus sp., scattered Pinus rigida.

Description
Tree, 3-4 ft. in girth. A huge tree, ca. 3-4 feet in girth or more. Trees with much larger girth reported nearby (North Sea). Also, a dwarf forest of this species occurs in the middle of a lake east of Bellows Pond, within Sears Bellows County Park. Phenology of specimen: Sterile.
