At mouth of small canyon. Lupinus albifrons dominant on the fan, the slopes above chaparral-covered. Plentiful. On gravelly sandy fan.

Description
Rays golden-yellow, not white-tipped; pappus with interlacing hairs; plants notably hispid, the white hairs prickly; black glands on involucres and peduncles; leaves of rosette pinnatifid, others quite entire; disk-flowers orange -yellow. Phenology of specimen: Flower.
