Description
Cultivated [plant] L-76.1230, Below H 25-6-3. Ht. 1 m. Leaf blades broadly ovate to elliptic, plain Harold L. Lyon Arboretum [Hawaii]. L-76.1230, below H 25-6-3. Ht. 1 m. Leaf blades ovate to elliptic, plain green, 50-60 cm long, 30-35 cm wide; midrib often purplish above. Petiole 55-70 cm long. Infl. ovoid, 15 cm long, the bract purple, w/green at edges. Flowers pale greenish-yellow, corolla lobes w/ purplish tint. Orig. from Tagami & Hart, cult. from rhizome collected by Helen Kennedy in Parque Nacional Henri Pittier, Edo. Maracay, Ven. [=Venezuela]. Phenology of specimen: Fertile.
